Recollection Chorus

2011, Sarah Goetz David J. Zielinski

Recollection Chorus is a network of floating memories, made as part of the Graduation with Distinction Project of sarah goetz (Trinity ’11). One walks into a virtual space surrounded by nodes, which play poetic and didactic media clips on subjects explored in a memory mind map. The map delved into how memory is approached from a variety of disciplines – public sculpture as memory, neurological memory, solid state hard-drive memory, archives as memory. The media, collected from education films of the mid 20th century, surround the user, creating a cacophony of commentary on memory.
