Dr. Timothy J. Senior is an independent researcher and artist. He completed his D.Phil. in Neuroscience at the University of Oxford in 2008 before taking up a visiting artist residency at Duke University in the US, where the Memory Tower project was completed. From 2010 to 2013 he was an external Lecturer at both the School of Engineering and Science and the School of Social Sciences and Humanities at Jacobs University, Bremen (Germany), as well as a Visiting Junior Fellow at the Centre for Visual Communication and Expertise (VisComX) at the same institution. In 2012, Dr. Senior held a fellowship at the Hanse Institute for Advanced Study in Delmenhorst, Germany. In addition to his undergraduate teaching, which spans a wide range of interdisciplinary perspectives related to the brain sciences, Dr. Senior is also conducting research into the cross-fertilization of ideas between contemporary artistic and scientific practices.
